Greetings from Africa Institute for Energy Governance(AFIEGO).
We are pleased to share with you our Newsletter volume 1 issue 2 for
2010. The Newsletter contains information on the need for
participatory energy planning, the need to build capacity of the
citizens for effective public participation in policy decision making
processes, the need to re-programme and de-programme the ongoing
reforms in the electricity sub sector in Uganda, the need to tap
carbon trading opportunities and finally, it calls upon the Ugandan
government to embrace contract transparency in the exploitation and
development of extractive resources.
