Multimedia Internship Opportunity at CTA

Background

The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), an
international organization based in Wageningen, The Netherlands, has
an opening for one intern for a period of 6 months, renewable only
once. The intern will work as a member of the CTA Communications
Services Team.

CTA's mandate puts emphasis on facilitating access, exchange and
dissemination of information in the fields of agriculture and rural
development. The Communications Services Department plays a critical
role in the realization of the above. CTA envisages increased activity
output in the area of multimedia: video, audio, TV, online media,
graphics, etc. The intern will be required to assist in the production
and manipulation of multimedia related work.

Duties

Under the guidance and supervision of the Programme Coordinator,
Media, the intern will perform the following activities:

Assist in the production of multimedia knowledge products including:

1. drafting, development and manipulation/editing of video and
audio files, among other multimedia products;

2. online social media strategy execution, particularly website,
virtual platforms, YouTube postings, Twitter, video and text blogs,
LinkedIn and other social networking pages;

3. Website support, including upload of multimedia related products
and development of graphics/illustrations for website and/or online use;

4. Development and moderation of new and/or existing online sharing
platforms;

5. Any other multimedia related assignments such as graphic design
of promotional materials, presentations, etc, as required.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Graduate from university or a similar institution of higher
education in multimedia or multimedia related subject;

2. Recent graduate, 22- 29 years of age;

3. Familiarity with African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries
is a plus;

4. Knowledge of web based software;

5. Knowledge of production and desktop video and audio editing a
plus, using Photoshop and other software;

6. Interest in development issues and social media;

7. Fluent in French or English language and having a good working
knowledge of the other;

8. Strong computer skills; Macintosh computer video editing skills
preferred;

9. Excellent communications, interpersonal skills and
organizational skills;

10. Familiar with web and graphic design tools;

11. National of either one European Union member state or of one of
the 78 ACP states.

Contexte

Le Centre Technique de Coopération Agricole et Rurale (CTA),
organisation internationale basée à Wageningen, Pays-Bas, offre une
possibilité de stage de 6 mois, renouvelable une fois. Le stagiaire
travaillera en tant que membre de l'Equipe des Services de
Communication du CTA.

Le CTA a comme objectif premier de faciliter l'accès à l'information,
l'échange et la diffusion d'informations dans le domaine du
développement agricole et rural. Le Département Services de
Communications joue un rôle crucial dans la réalisation de l'objectif
susvisé. Le CTA prévoit un accroissement des activités dans le domaine
des multimédias : vidéo, audio, TV, média en ligne, graphique, etc. Il
sera demandé au stagiaire d'aider à la production et à la manipulation
dans le travail lié aux multimédias.

Tâches

Sous les directives et la supervision du Coordonnateur du programme
Media, le stagiaire entreprendra les activités suivantes :

Aider à la production de produits de connaissance multimédia, notamment :

6. l'élaboration, le développement et la manipulation/édition de
fichiers vidéo et audio, entre autres produits multimédias ;

7. exécution d'une stratégie des médias sociaux, en particulier le
site web, les plateformes virtuelles, les affichages YouTube, Twitter,
vidéo et blog texte, LinkedIn et autres pages de réseautage social ;

8. Le support de site web, y compris le téléchargement de produits
liés aux multimédias et l'élaboration de graphiques/illustrations pour
site web et/ou utilisation en ligne;

9. Développement et modération de plateformes d'échange en ligne
nouvelles et/ou ;

10. Toute autre tâche liée aux multimédias telle que la conception
graphique de matériel publicitaire, les présentations, etc., selon les
besoins.

Qualifications et Expérience

12. Diplôme d'une université ou d'une institution similaire
d'enseignement supérieur en multimédia ou domaine y relatifs ;

13. Nouveau diplômé, 22 - 29 ans ;

14. Une bonne connaissance des pays de l'Afrique, des Caraïbes et du
Pacifique (ACP) est un atout ;

15. Connaissance du logiciel web ;

16. La connaissance de la production de document vidéo, de la
vidéotique, et de l'édition audio est un plus, l'utilisation du
Photoshop et d'autres logiciel ;

17. Etre intéressé par les questions de développement et les médias sociaux ;

18. Bien connaître l'anglais ou le français et avoir une connaissance
pratique de l'autre langue ;

19. De bonnes connaissances en informatique, et il est préférable
d'avoir des compétences en édition vidéo sur ordinateur Macintosh ;

20. Excellentes capacités de communications, aptitudes à gérer les
relations interpersonnelles et capacités d'organisation ;

21. Bonne connaissance du web et des outils de graphisme ;

22. Etre ressortissant de l'un des Etats membres de l'Union
européenne ou de l'un des 78 Etats des ACP.
